"Shortcut to algonquin. Stop for a scenic view"

This road mainly consist of industrial parks which are pretty bland and lame. On the other hand, they have a pretty cool little forest preserve type of thing that's connected to the local park. Or at least it used to be cool when I was young. Anyways, this is mainly a good shortcut to get from randall road to algonquin road. Both very congested highways.

"A good shortcut"

Countryside drive goes through the countryside apartment complex. It is a great shortcut to get away to a congested entrance to dundee road if you need to head out further north. I also lived in this apartment complex a while ago. It was a nice little area and if you are considering the area. Overall it is pleasant. Just not a lot to do.

"It's a race!"

Roselle road is great fun in the snow. I mean come on, who doesn't enjoy racing your local souped chevy cobalt SS through 3 inches of snow. I believe that the reason for all the little fiasco's that I have seen. First of all it goes back and forth between 1 and 2 lanes. Two it is located on the way from palatine to schaumburg which I think everyone is on the way to work a bit late. And Three, Harper Community College is located on the corner of roselle and algonquin roads. Good luck to all. ABS (Anti-lock Brakes) are recommended in the winter.

"Pothole city, by the bridge"

Make sure you have your spare tire while driving down this way. There is a couple of cool bars under the bridge that goes over belmont avenue. It is unavoidable to cringe and grip your steering wheel with that dodging a punch look on your face as you hit the on ramp to the overpass. There is a not so nice bowling alley on the west side of the street as well as a jewel and dominicks that slug it out to see who the top dog of the grocery chains are. Dominick's let's you use phone numbers for its preferred card though. Just don't use mine please.

"the second expressway."

Elston often acts to fill the needs of impatient drivers. I'm in cahoots with them. This is the best way to get to the northwest side of the Chicago without having to stop and go every 3 seconds. At least this way you can go a block or two before you stop most of the time. Good way to get around all the hustle and bustle of a rush hour expressway. Don't flock here and take away my shortcut please!!!!

"Very nice looking area!"

This road is a bit cluttered down towards ogden avenue, but it is a very nice enviornment along this road. There is a nice overpass where underneath lies a place called the Graue Mill. It is a quaint little creek with a very peaceful atmosphere. I see people walking, fishing, biking etc. If you head further down the road you will see some really nice castle sized houses and a few golf courses. Overall a nice street.

"Watch where you park..."

This little intersection of north avenue is great for late night food. You also might get gas though. There is a very overpriced gas station opposite the Hollywood Grill (Best place ever). Just keep your car off of north avenue... They have put up these contraptions that you have to put quarters into to park your car without being ticketed. Technology these days... Harumpph. Meter maids own this area. It is their breeding ground. They creep out of dark alleys in stealthy fashion, pen in hand ready to paint your windshield orange with tickets!

"Rich and careless drivers!"

Well, what can I say. I used to work on Golf Road in schaumburg. This road is much worse, even though it is hardly as much traffic. These are some of the worst drivers ever! I work out here. My theory happens to be that everyone is so rich in this area that they simply do not care about following traffic laws. There is routinely an accident out front of work every week at the same corner. E. Ogden seems to also be the car dealer and carpet cleaning capital of west chicagoland. So if your rug needs a scrubbing come on down... Just make sure your seat belt is on.

"On the way to go skate..."

This is not the greatest area in the world, Be warned. Yet right down the road at the beach, you will find a nice little bit of fun if you skateboard. There is an exit right on the corner of 31st and Lake Shore Drive. Once again, this is not really a nice area. The skate park however is pretty interesting. I have been stopped by police a couple times and questioned why I was in the area. I believe they thought we were buying drugs. The Park is home to BBQ picnics, random gang-bangers, and people skateboarding out of their normal setting. I learned to keep my mouth shut and just have fun here. Good times. Watch yo back!

"5 dollar pizzas and shopping shenaniganz"

This street is extremely congested with traffic in the afternoons. There is a shopping center on the west side of the street though. There is a K-mart, Jewel, Blockbuster, Oberwiess Ice Cream shop (very good ice cream). Stop in K-mart for your 5 dollar Little Ceasars Pizza. It's worth sitting behind 3 angry shoppers trust me. The jewel on the other hand is the home of the wonderful world of bumper carts. I recommend getting a basket, get the necessities and go. It's not bad to have all these places in one area though. Also, there are your random assortment of people claiming not to have bus fare or asking for food money. Greatness!

"Great new skatepark!"

I've just stumbled upon what seems to be an breath of fresh air for skateboarders in Chicago, or at least the ones luckier enough to live near Logan Square. It does seem to be an alright area during the day. There are your random crazies of course, but where don't you see that. There is a quaint neighbor hood right after the bridge, careful with the one way streets. This street always seems to be heavily congested with traffic, but if you want to check out a great looking and atmospheric newly built skate park. Just look underneath 90/94 while your headed down W. Logan Blvd.
