"Quiet street at south end of great neighborhood"

The bottom of 8th avenue is unique. It faces very little traffic because it is cut by the Prospect Expressway, making parking a breeze. I park directly in front of my apartment building 50% of the time, and 80% of the time I park right across the street. As far as safety, I feel safe about 75% of the time. Most of the streets are quiet, brownstone-lined family homes, with the exception of dicey Prospect Ave, where I have been catcalled more than I care to remember. I love the proximity to the Pavilion Theatre, Prospect Park, and all the restaurant choices that Park Slope is famous for. All things considered, this is a great street to live on.
