"Nice street"

There is a coffee house and several nice restaurants (including a Greek and Thai place) one block over. I live on the corner with a fairly busy intersection so I probably get more noise than most do. Vanderbilt hospital is about 1 mile away. There is a bus stop on the corner of 18th and Portland. I have lived there for nearly 2 years and haven't experienced a power or water outage yet. Its a college area and feels very safe. My only complaint is the price of property in the area is very high and I can't afford to own my home in the neighborhood.
