"Restaurants galore...prepare your wallet."

Tremont Street has a lot of character, with its row of spacious brownstones. However, the real reason to come here is for the food. Nearly every building has some type of eating establishment downstairs. I recommend The Upper Crust pizzeria on on the 600 block. The prices are comparable to selling your firstborn, but the pizza is (almost) worth it. Plenty of neat little corner grocery stores as well, and most have an eclectic mix of wines and beers available. Just be forewarned, if you're living in the area, you'll be hankering for a more affordable supermarket or department store after a while. Luckily, that's why we have Target.

"Perfect for a charming stroll on a sunny day."

This street has got to be one of my favorite places in Boston--it has as much retail as the famed Newbury Street, but retains much more character, as the street actually seems livable. There are plenty of wine shops for the wine enthusiast, great little shops, and neat restaurants to try out, but there are also hardware stores and pharmacies--all of the staples you would need to get by. The old brick buildings truly are gorgeous. It almost feels like you've entered a time warp when you walk onto the street. Time your visit just right, and you could witness the Make Way For Ducklings reenactment parade, which is always a sight to see, with children in full duck costume.

"Upscale Shopping At Its Finest"

This posh street has eight blocks that are absolutely jam-packed with luxury shopping. Although there are your typical upscale chain stores, ie Coach and BCBG, a variety of unique little boutiques is what really makes this place stand out. A few stores can be found here that are tough to find anywhere else in the states--Topshop comes to mind. If you can take a step back from all the dazzling fashion, the buildings themselves are gorgeous old brownstones that exude charm. There are few good cafes with outdoor seating, which makes for a great location to people-watch all day long (maybe you'll even see a few of the stars!)
