The neighborhood where we live is excellent. It is mostly tree lined streets with a lot of young families and small children. The area is safe and provides a great atmosphere to raise a family. The property values are slightly higher than elsewhere in the city, but worth it. The yards are a nice size so that makes it great for people with children or pets. The downside it the fact that this is one of the few nice areas in the city. The unemployment rates are high here and work is mostly service related. That makes it difficult for young professionals to stay in the area. I would never leave this neighborhood. It's a very friendly, safe place to raise a family.
