"Established Neighborhood for Urban families"

Park Place in Norfolk, VA is one of the oldest, most historic and most affordable established neighborhoods for African Americans. The neighborhood is noted for its community feel, thriving 35th Street culture district and its affordable two-story colonials -- most of which have maintained their original old time charm for nearly 100 years.

Admittedly, Park Place has wrestled with a lot of crime in the past, but with the city's investment in the 35th Street culture district, the area is becoming the new hotbed for blue-collar workers and young professionals alike. Not to mention, you are within 10-15 minutes of Downtown attractions, cute boutiques and restaurants on 21st Street and Colley Ave. and the thriving college culture that is Old Dominion University. It sits right in the middle of two other historic neighborhoods as well (Historic Ghent and Colonial Place) -- and 15 minutes down Granby St., you're right at the beach. Get on this neighborhood while the getting is good. Sooner or later, it'll be harder to get into than your high school jeans!
