That's a tall order! There are a ton of great restaurants in the UWS. A lot of great offshoots from downtown are on Amsterdam -- Fatty Crab and Mermaid Inn. All of the "best" ridiculously priced foodie restaurants are, technically, in the lowest part of the UWS: Jean-Georges, Masa, and Per Se are all on Columbus Circle. None of them are my favorite because I don't like pretentious food but they are all regularly written up and given awards. Cafe Blossom is largely known as one of the best vegan joints in the city and it is on Columbus.
