"School House Hill Rd in Mehoopany, Pa "

A very beautiful place in the fall! The foliage in this area was absolutely stunning. I visited with a friend & his family that I had not seen for many years. Basically the homes in this particular vicinity are modestly priced.

However, the folks were very friendly and incredibly welcoming! My feelings are it is the people that make the community and worth the while living there.

If you like hilly terrains and cold temperatures during the winter this is a place to live. The property values in this area seemed very reasonable for young families with children or for singles too. I would only recommend this location for retirees if they can deal with the cold temps during winter.

FYI--most homes seem to have at least 2 or 3 heat sources!!!

Like all localities you have both the good & not so good neighborhoods. My overall impression is a great place to visit but not sure I would do it at this stage of life.

However, I would love the opportunity to visit again in near future as long it's not during the winter. ;)

Hope this was an informative review for you.

"Nice neighborhood to raise a family."

On our street they are in process of taking down the Old School House at the top of the road. After they are finished a nice playground will be put on the grounds to take the place of the school. A large baseball field has been build and a new fence was put up around the field. The town is hopeful to have the playground done if not by this summer than by next summer.
I feel that the nightlife is excellent because there are no bars and pubs right inside the town. You have to go outside the town.
