"Sheboygan, WI - A family friendly city"
Sheboygan, WI is a beautiful little city on Lake Michigan. With a population of around 50,000 thousand you have all the amenities of a big city yet it's not. It's clean, safe and is located right on the beautiful beaches of Lake MIchigan.
Along with numerous parks and beaches the city offers an indoor waterpark (Blue Harbor), a children's museum, a small shopping mall, World famous golfing (Whistling Straits, Black Wolf, The Bull) and numerous summer festivals and activities.
In addition to the great recreational activities in the area Sheboygan offers two excellent hospitals and serveral smaller clinics.
The schools in Sheboygan are excellent. There are numerous public and private schools to choose from with a total of four high schools (two public and two private).
Real estate and home values in the city of Sheboygan are less than the MIlwaukee area (< 1 hour south). Being less than an hour from the bigger city of Milwaukee makes Sheboygan to Milwaukee a viable commute for Milwaukee workers. However taxes within the city are a little high pushing up the cost of living.
