Where are some safe places to live near the Seattle Police Department and are family friendly?

My husband will be working and I will be staying home with my 3 y/o and soon to be newborn. We are coming from a small, mainly farming town of 6,000 people, but both my husband and I grew up in Mpls so we are accustomed to busy areas.

Capitol Hill has a police station located on I think 12th ave around pike or pine, although I wouldn't necessarily count it as a safe neighborhood since there is alot of nightlife in that area.

However, I agree with BlueFernRE that Queen Anne has the best reputation for being safe

Hey, I would love to help you find a safe neighborhood. The Green Lake and Queen Anne areas have generally low crime rate.
