"Bad street, not to be trusted."

Like other streets nearby San Jacinto Street has plenty of dangerous aspects. Large groups of rough looking young men making threatening gestures to traffic is all together too common. Drug deals and prostitution can be witnesses at all times of day here. And the police force seems either unable or unwilling to bring such activity under control.
