"A great place to live, if you dont care"
I've live here most my live and can say that is full of wanna be hoodlums and that the majority of the population is living off the system. In the middle of the week you will find the downtown streets crowded with individuals whom would rather fake an injury or multiply exponentially than work. I leave for work in the morning and see my neighbors on the porch, come home and see them still on the porch, just watching. The roads all need work. It's seriously overcrowded, the population is equal to that of a town 4x it's size. The schools systems are ranked in the bottom five for New Jersey.The office officials are either corrupt or incompetent, just google perth amboy corruption. The seemingly low property taxes are to mask the other high costs of living in the area. Such as the high water bills property owners pay which are in place to pay back the years of delinquent bills not payed by the city.
