"A great place for young families to start"
O'fallon is a great city. It has an exellent blend of city benefits and country pace. I have lived here for 18 years and couldnt be happier. They have great programs provided by the city including community enhancement services as well as self development courses. The schools in the area are fantastic. The Zumwalt school district has been nationally recognized as one of the best districts in Missouri. Ofallon has multiple parks in and around the city so it easy to find a park nearby. The police department is very good here. There are always many officers on patrol and help to keep Ofallon a very safe place. The nightlife is here is ok. There are several bars and pubs such as McGurks, but there isnt a lot of great night clubs in the city. However, there are great clubs in nearby towns that are just a short drive away; not to mention that downtown St. Louis is only 30 min away. The big thing that drove me here was the cost of living. It is one of the cheapest places to live in the region. Also, the housing market has provided many exellent houses for very cheap. I definitly consider Ofallon as one of the best places to live.
