Any tips from locals for finding an apartment in NoHo, New York City?

NYC is broker dominated. So, look on Craigslist under the "no fee" or "by owner" listings to avoid the broker fee. If you can pay and work with a broker, you can find an apartment in about a week. The craigslist route will probably take a bit longer. I rented my apartment sight unseen and I loved it. But, it took me over a month to find it.
