Blackmer road is located in Sudbury, which is a quiet suburban town about 20 miles west of Boston. The road is a dead end, with a mixture of medium sized homes built in the 1960's, with a few larger homes (knock-downs & expansions). The street itself is quiet, but intersects with one of the busier roads in town that leads into the Framingham (a much larger town). The street has access to a couple of internet and cable television providers. Town water, electricity, and gas are available on the street. No sewer services are available, so homes on the street have septic systems. It is convenient to local shopping in Sudbury, as well as many retail and dining locations in nearby towns. It is a short ride to Boston, and the activities that Boston has to offer. The town has many open spaces and athletic areas that provide a lot of recreational opportunities. Overall, the town is considered to be affluent, and a lot of emphasis on its school system. Taxes are relatively high due to the lack of industry in the town.
