Lupine Ln, Florida

This neighborhood is beautiful, clean, woodsy, and safe, very safe. In fact, most of the time I don't lock my back door, unless I'm home alone. It has a lot of "first home owners" like myself. This is the first home I've owned. I came from a condo before this. I have one of the smaller homes in the neighborhood, which I wasn't thrilled with, in fact there were so many things about this house that I didn't like, but I bought only for the location. I've been here 6 years now. I always thought I would keep my eye on other homes in this neighborhood and sell and move to a larger home, but then that never seems to happen. The thought of moving again seems to outweigh the need for a larger home. I own a 3/2, smaller home, but there are some very large homes, some two story homes.

The neighbors take the holidays very seriously. People come from miles around for Halloween, because this development, called "Quail Hollow" is known for it's Halloween participation. Many neighbors go all out, with haunted houses and real scary themes, They used to have to put a barricade at the end of the street, so the cars would have to park at the end and walk. That's how many people come here on Halloween. So if you're not into holidays, this is not the place for you.

And then there is Christmas. Well almost every house decorates to the max. I think they all try to out do each other. Again, we have many cars that drive down the street just to see the decorations. People know that they will see beautiful holiday lights and come from miles around just to see this neighborhood.

Besides those two holidays, the rest of the time it's as quiet as can be. There are a lot of people into fitness, as it's the perfect neighborhood for walking, jogging or running. It has a built in walker's path on the side of the street, it's lined off for walkers or bike riders, rollerbladers, etc. And you don't have to feel embarrassed to be out there walking, because almost any time of the day or night, you'll find someone out for a walk. There are also 4 homes that I know of that police officers live in, because they park their cars in the driveway. So you see a lot of cop cars and that tends to diffuse any crime. I''ve never felt scared here, even when I'm alone for the night. I've gone for walks myself late at night and it's really peaceful, the whole neighborhood is lit up with new street lights. You feel very safe.

My backyard is probably one of the main reasons I bought here. It butts up against a wooded area, that will never be developed or built on. So it's like looking out on beautiful woods. You can't see any homes or buildings, just beautiful woods. Pine trees, Florida Holly and some palmetto bushes.

Well I think I've covered everything about Hollow Drive. A great place to live, especially for first home owners. Reasonable and you get a lot for your money. And schools are all within 8 to 10 minutes away or less. Very family oriented.
