Whats the best area to live in an apartment close to La Mirada?

New to southern CA, I am looking for a better apartment in La Mirada but I am not able to figure out whats the best area to live here. All apartments are fairly old. I want to stay close to Firestone Blvd, La Mirada, CA 90638. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I do not have to be in La Mirada, basically anything thats within 6-7 miles radius of the address above.
