Great street for small families and first-time home buyers

My wife and I have lived in a townhome on Georgetown Circle for two years now, and it is exactly what we were looking for. Life here is quiet, maintenance free, and slower than in surrounding areas. While there is a great deal of privacy, neighbors aren't afraid to come out into the common areas a...

I would live here in a hearbeat

I've spent quite a bit of time in Chicago on business and I must say it is a city I could easily live in. The first time I visited, i thought it going to be quite a dirty, scummy city, but as it turns out I was completely wrong. Very clean streets, and very friendly people. I've spent a bit of ti...

Glendale Heights - a small town west of I355

The town itself is a rather small peaceful town with a population of under 40,000.

There are not many special attractions in this town other then a carnival and circus that come annually.
Rundown ghetto of a suburb

What can I say about Streamwood, IL...It's definitely a city that I was glad to leave behind. Many leave the big city to escape to a nice family-friendly safe haven in the Suburbs. I'm afraid that you will find many of the same problems in this small town. The town has a very run down feeling ov...

This is a mixed one-block street. Some nicer homes, some dumps, and a trailer park borders the
east end. Fairly quiet, no sidewalks but a wooded lot adds a nice touch.

TURN YOUR CAR AROUND

The street is filled with holes and you literally have to drive around them. Not small holes, but craters! You also need to be careful because you may be approached by neighborhood people that may or may not be nice. Many abandoned houses are in this area and the street light quality is very poor....
