A low cost but iffy place to live

Lots of family-friendly neighbors will attract anyone to this street. However, high-traffic, frequently clogged sewer drains, and some crime nearby make this place not one of the best.

See Kenilworth Ave, Algonquin, IL. Only one 'n' in the street's name. The Post Office put 2 "n's" in it so it is only in their database, nowhere else.

Quiet street. Not good for families with small children-no playmates! Middle-class, older, established homes with nice big shade trees and friendly elderly population.

Downers Grove is a slice of suburbia with lots of shopping close by. There is a grade school within 1 block and there is close access to transportation into Chicago.

The town has it's own identity so it is way beyond just a bedroom community.

This is a middle class neighborhood in a quiet little although quirky town. The elementary school was rated number one in the county by the Chicago Tribune. The tree lined street has mostly two story 3 or 4 bedroom houses on small lots (70x140 or there abouts). The houses are well kept and tidy....

Close to all the boutique stores and restaurants in the Damen/Milwaukee corridor. Just as close to the larger box retailers, if that is your cup of tea, near the Clybourn/North area. We moved here because the apartment we found offered fantastic rent for what we were getting, and it wasn't run down like some of the others we'd seen in other parts of the city. The apartment is fantastic, and I love it to death. However, there's not much going on around the neighborhood otherwise....
