What is crime like in Hayes Valley, SF?

In particular, what types of crime occur.

It's not a very dangerous area. I think the most prevalent crime is car break-ins. i've seen this from crime reports and personal experience. You'll see shattered car windows when walking around or broken glass from previous break-ins. It seems like most of these occur between Haight and Fell or along Gough St.
