How is the shopping in Garden City? Any great boutiques or shopping areas I should check out?

Shopping areas? Sounds like an upscale, silk lined price tag shopping district. I am looking for a quaint, beautiful town to stay while visiting Manhattan for 2 days, while my actual NY stay is 5 days. I wanted to stay some place different this time and see what these wonderful NY towns have to offer. I am looking for boutique shops as well, and antique shops, flea market finds, etc.. that won't necessarily empty my wallet. I LOVE Time Square, go to NY every few years for business, but extended my stay this year (Dec 6-10). Any other recommendations?

Hi Emma - there is plenty of shopping available in Garden City! In addition to Roosevelt Field, an upscale mall accessible from Old Country Road and Stewart Ave, there is also Lord & Taylor and boutique shops along Franklin Ave and 7th Street.
