The Villages of Marsh Lakes is a patio lot community, part of Marsh Lakes situated on the southern half of Piney Island, a barrier island between the mainland and Amelia Island. Many homes back up to a very natural lake stocked with bass and perch and some homes back onto the marshlands and intercoastal waterway, overlooking Amelia Island.

The Estates portion of Marsh Lakes are generally larger homes on larger lots most either on the lake or the marshes.
