Where should we live?

My fiance is trying out for football in November. If he makes it, we will be moving to Atlanta from Seattle. I am not familiar with any cities or neighborhoods. We plan on having children sooner or later and I have a 6lb yorkie. So I would like a family safe neighborhood with an above average school system and close doggie daycares. I would love to rent to own a home in a nice neighborhood. I am a esthetician so I would like to work downtown where it's popular and busy; I don't want a rough commute. I've been trying to do some research and I like Druid Hill, Mid-town, and Virginia Highland... Help?
