How safe is Dearborn Ct, Crown Heights in Brooklyn?

My daughter is moving to NY and looking at some apt. in this area. She works late at night so I am concerned about her on the streets late at night, early morning.

Crown Heights isn't very safe. Do a google news search "crown heights crime".
The results ain't pretty.
