The term “Coto de Caza” means Hunting Reserve in Spanish and signifies that this region is a private place.

The people at Coto de Caza earn a median household income of over $135,000. Their children mostly study in schools under the Capistrano Unified School District that are located within a close distance to this private neighborhood. Most of this region is made up of tract homes, with a few exceptions along the off skirts of the main streets.
