“
Simsbury - Small town with big character!
”
(has lived here)
I was born in Hartford, CT USA and lived in Farmington, CT with my family until I was 5 years old. Then, my family moved to Simsbury, CT USA because of the great school system, world class training available for figure skating and a safe/friendly neighborhood for families.
There I was raised until I was 11 years year old, in which I then lived with one of my sisters and our mother in many different cities (for the purpose of finding a suitable ice dance partner) in the US until I was 15, and moved back to Simsbury. I also lived 3 years in Germany after that.
Simsbury is a wonderful, small town. If you are a city rat, then you might as well stop reading now and find a city to live in. Simsbury is a town, a small town with big character. In Simsbury, you are likely to run into friends randomly while running errands on a daily basis.
You are guaranteed a terrific school system for your children, also if they are handicapped, as Simsbury public schools offer great help to special Ed students.
Simsbury is also a beautiful town, full of lovely landscape and not over crowded with shopping malls, office/apartment buildings, etc.
Simsbury is also a very safe town to live in, as I have never once witnessed any evidence of crime in my entire lifetime, in this town.
If you are looking to move to a friendly, pretty, safe, family town, then I would full heartedly suggest you to consider Simsbury! If you are a fan of figure skating as well, then I could not think of any better place in the world to bring your child (and I say this as a figure skater who competed multiple times on the junior grand prix series of figure skating, 13th place at the 2008 Junior World Championships, National Junior champion of Germany and 2 time finalist at the US Junior National championships, in ice dance and pairs skating.)
