There isn't a grocery store in Clifton any more. The closest one is Corryville Kroger at the end of Short Vine. It's only about 5 minutes away if you don't have a lot of traffic.
You may wish to opt for City Center Kroger. They're off Mitchell Ave and near I-75. You can get there by going all the way down Clifton hill. They have a much bigger selection.

If you had asked this a year ago, I would have immediately recommend IGA, which was located right on Ludlow, accessible to almost all Cliftonites. They have a wide selection for such a small store, and sell all the daily essentials. Since then, however, this location has gone out of commission for a short while. They were supposed to reopen this past spring, but have met a few obstacles. Since they're now under new ownership and are "going green," I expect great things from the new Clifton IGA, set to open within the next few months! Until then, I recommend the Kroger down on Kenard Ave. Though it's not the best location, they have everything you need, including a great organic section.
