Good 'Ol San Pedro Square

San Pedro Square is a great place to go during the day to catch a quick lunch, maybe at Amici's or Peggy Sue's.. then head over to Starbucks for a coffee. Also great for the night! It's a great date spot, or for a family night on the town. San Pedro Square is great for all ages,I remember dad would...

Decent street with good shopping.

North 12th Street is a fairly quiet road, though it does have sections that are better to be avoided, especially at night. Overall this street offers enough shopping, dining and entertainment both on North 12th Street and other nearby roads. There seems to be better police envolvement the futher nor...

Wonderful peaceful street.

Shasta Avenue would definitely a place I would be happy to call home. Large trees offer ample shade for the big homes along this street. Many homes have their own refreshing in-ground pools in their private back yards, perfect for those hot California summers! Friendly people, convenient nearby shop...

Hanchett Avenue is one of those street you want to slowly cruise down to take in all its relaxing feel. The residents here enjoy large beautiful homes on spacious yards.
Bad street with good areas.

Overall East St John Street is very unsavory, loud, crude, dangerous... ghetto feeling, but the end towards 1st Street is greatly improved.
East Julian Street is a very loud street with plenty rough looking areas.
Willow Glen is a neighborhood in San Jose that centers on Lincoln Avenue from the 1000 block to about the 1300 block. It's an amazingly sleepy little area in a city of almost a 1,000,000 people. This is a great place to visit day or night.

The are a wide variety of shops in this area.
Lets go Golfing!

When we visited San Jose, we only went to one of several golf courses in the area. Deep Cliff Golf Course was a very beautiful course that is a nice place to take a drive by or enjoy a game of golf from the busy city life. My husband did not get a chance to play, but he hopes to someday!

The street is only one block long with a T on each end. The are some fast drivers but not so much as to be a bother. Some yards are great and some not so good. Due to only 15 inches of rain on average, in some years there are droughts and water rationing may be put in place. There is a large ind...

Low class 'hood

I will begin by saying that "most" of the families on this street are decent, but there are a group of families that are so bad that they make living on the street miserable. There is the family with the adult criminal children (who if they're not living there are constantly visiting). Then there...

3 people found this review helpful.
0 people found this review not helpful.

Its a decent street to live on.

Santa Rosa Drive is an okay street in San Jose. Sometimes it is hard to find parking but the neighbors are nice and keep the noise level to a minimum. The noisiest time of the week is on weekends but usually only during the day. Once in a while someone will have a party on the weekend but the lou...

Great starter house for young families

The Silicon Valley is chalk full of overpriced homes and families living in cramped apartment rentals. The River Oaks communities including Parkside are a great place to make the jump from rent to own. Spacious homes, quiet neighbors and convenient access to local grocery stores and casual restaur...

Nice place to live with children

We've lived here for six years now. Three young children and lots for them to do. Downsides are the street noise, but it's not too bad in practice. Nice and close to the Avenue.

Excellent nieghborhood!!!!! Great parks, schools, and shopping.

A perfect place for young couples starting a family. Weekdays are very very quiet, not a peep thoroughout....but come the weekend and neighbors tend to have bbqs and small parties. They usually invite everybody in the neighborhood. Schools are great...Evergreen High School is the most technologic...

"Great for student living, but a little noisy"

Great central location for downtown night life, food, walking distance to HP Pavillion, VTA, and San Jose State University. Asthetically it isnt the most beautiful neighborhood but if your looking for easy access to everything its a good sp...

Good for starting out, but not exactly the suburbs

This area of San Jose is primarily comprised of lower to middle-income families. Statistically speaking, this dictrict of San Jose has the lowest average income of any other distict in the city. There is a large immigrant population here, primarily Latino and Vietnamese. Becuase of that, you can fin...

Ideal street for families

This street is a wonderful street to have grown up on. It's completely family-oriented and very peaceful and quiet, although not too with children playing in their yards. It has an absolutely beautiful view of the hills, and is secluded enough that it maintains a very serine vibe. This street is...
