Does California still get blackouts?

I remember hearing that you guys in California had power problems a few years back and the result was black outs. Is this still happening or has this all been fixed / sorted?

Yep, a smallish earthquake hit LA yesterday. I just posted the news article here: http://www.streetadvisor.com/united_states/california/forums/la-earthquake-%27small-sample%27-of-one-to-come--share-your-experience-of-the-quake/default.aspx Not a big one, but obviously some people think it is a precursor to a major one. Hope not, they are pretty scary.

I know SF occasionally gets them, but there hasn't been a big one that i can remember in the last year or so. I know there was a big one in 07 though, a few neighborhoods got knocked out.
