"Nice Community with Lots of Green Spaces"

Ashcreek is a very nice residential community in Southwest Portland.
Located near the I-5 freeway, it is only a few minutes from downtown Portland, Tigard and Beaverton, though traffic is a problem when commuting during the peak business hours. However, this neighborhood is highly attractive as it has something for everyone. There are a variety of homes, many upscale, that are close to several running trails that populate this neighborhood. But hey, you aren’t far from Nike headquarters, so that should be expected. Also nearby, the Ashcreek Natural area which has walking trails, beautiful greenery and wildlife. Four other parks are also nearby, including the Duniway Lilac Garden, which has over 225 lilacs, plants and is pure heaven when they all bloom in the spring.

Shopping is close by at the Multnomah Village, which contains lots of specialty shops, coffee houses and restaurants. Washington Square Mall is a quick drive as well.

"A Pretty Part of Town with Attractive Homes"

Ashcreek is a SW Portland area that is near Maplewood, Multnomah and West Portland Park. Ashcreek is actually a bit close to the Beaverton/Raleigh Hills area than it is to Portland. However, with that said, it isn't difficult to get into Portland as residents can just get on the I-5. It is interesting to note that Beaverton is a pretty substantial suburb. While it doesn't offer all the independent businesses that Portland does, it is quite a mecca for shopping and dining in and of itself. Those who live in Ashcreek will find themselves frequenting the businesses in Multnomah Village. This historic area has some very cute and interesting shops and restaurants. There is also the Multnomah Arts Center, which offers an impressively large array of classes.

There are some really beautiful homes in Ashcreek. Many residents are quite well off. This is a great place for families wanting a safe spot or just for people who want some peace and quiet. The area is also surrounded by parks that are just a short drive away including Gabriel Park, Woods Memorial Park, and Vista Brook Park.

"Quiet Bedroom Community With Beautiful Homes And Green Spaces"

Ashcreek is a small residential neighborhood in Southwest Portland, directly east of the city of Tigard. This quiet bedroom community is known for beautiful homes and expensive green spaces. The neighborhood is home to Ash Creek Natural Area and several other parks, making it popular among those who want to live in Portland but enjoy fresh air and wooded areas.

As far as shopping and dining, expect to drive out of the neighborhood, as Ashcreek has no retail district. It's mainly a bedroom community for people who work and shop elsewhere, and you won't find much else besides houses here.

The neighborhood features a mix of beautiful craftsman and modern homes set on large suburban lots. With plenty of space between homes, it doesn't seem like the type of community where people really get to know their neighbors. The community's sole elementary school, George Smith Elementary, closed a couple of years ago, and it's still a sore subject among some longtime Ashcreek residents. This safe and quiet neighborhood is still home to plenty of kids, though there's no longer a school located in Ashcreek itself. Still, if you don't mind commuting out of the neighborhood daily, it is a beautiful place to live.
