"High Crime in some areas "

Albuquerque is a good place to live, however there are certain parts of town to best avoid because of the high crime. Locals call this place "the war zone" and its located basically south of Central ave and runs almost the entire length of the city. But do not get me wrong, the rest of the city is great!
Pros
  • Up and coming city
  • 4hr drive from anywhere in the state
Cons
  • Construction everywhere.
  • Dumb drivers

"a rock solid place to live"

This is one of the best places to grow up in the nation. The town is small enough to stay out of most trouble yet big enough to have some fun. The city is located at the base of the sandia mountains which offers spectacular sunsets. The Rio Grande flows through the town which provides many opportunities to go outside for recreation. The mexican food is awesome. Many people think that the city is not safe however compared to other cities it is incredibly safe. i can walk in any area at any time and feel pretty safe. Albuquerque is a perfect blend of American and Mexican cultures making it an incredible place to grow up and learn.
