Even though it's changed in the 4+ years we've lived here, Beacon Hill is still seemingly undiscovered between Georgetown and Mt. Baker. We could use some more small retail, and definitely some places to eat/drink, but it's a quick drop down the hill to Georgetown, the ID or up to Central/Cap Hill....

If you live on 26th Ave NW just above NW 65th St, you're far enough away from the hubbub of "downtown" Ballard but still close enough to walk to everything (if you don't mind walking in the rain). You're also very close to Salmon Bay Park...and who doesn’t like having a park to go to?

Pilgrim's Natureway is great for all your herbal health supplement needs. They also have a decent selection of soups & juices & frozen foods.

This is an incredible area that will be worth a fortune in no time at all. There are some great restaurants, tremendous nightlife and a real sense of community. Back in the 80's and 90's this was a rough area and it is doing more than making a comeback. Please check it out!

the street's clean, safe and over all a nice place
great view of the lake
grocery stores are close
many people actually use the street to excercise

the cons are that the bus stop aren't as close as a student would like them to be
the waste management ferries/port or something is a few blocks...
