This is central Texas

This used to be ranch road in the middle of suburban San Antonio, Texas is rapidly developing into a place of resident balanced with residential life. New restaurants, shopping centers, and neighborhoods are springing up all the time. Although it is developing quickly, I would not say it is to the p...

Main street in the quiet neighborhood

This was the main street in my neighborhood and although it was a large street, it was still rather calm. I could comfortably go jogging or running any day or night and feel safe. In fact, I do often go running at odd hours of the night without any worry. This is a large neighborhood street, but rel...

Young Neighborhood spirit

I have lived here most of my life and I can honestly say it has been a great place to grow up. All in all, the area is great for familial upbringing. People in the area are conservative, white, and religious. But it must be said that as a minority, I have never felt threatened or uncomfortable.

Visiting Sauerkraut Bend

King William is an historic street southwest of downtown San Antonio, Texas onto which a large number of Germans had immigrated in the mid 1800s. That's how King William got its nickname “Sauerkraut Bend.” There are buildings that offer a unique blend of differing architectural styles including Vi...

Quiet, friendly street with no traffic

This is a very small neighborhood. One gated entrance for 50 houses. The street offers excellent views of the Texas Hill Country. It is very clean and well maintained.

We are minutes from San Antonio's best shopping at La Cantera and an hour from the large outlet mall in San Marcos.
Quiet, friendly location that feels rural but allows access to downtown, uptown, and around town quickly and easily.

Lantana Bend is a great little corner of San Antonio. We are in the Meadows at the Reserve subdivision, kept nice and neat by an interested but not overly involved Homeowners Association. Near to Hwy 151 and Sea World, the location provides quick access to downtown and both major loops of the city...

This neighborhood "Rowley Gardens" is a small ~50 or so houses arranged around on a circle located next to the medical center. It is far enough away from Babcock so you feel off by yourself giving a nice RELAXING place to live. If your a student at the Health Science Center this place is perfect. ...

A gated community with responsible neighbors, concerned about one another and the appearance of the neighborhood.
Love my neighbors and my street

Most of the houses on our street have beautifully wooded lots, either front, back or both. Neighbors take great pride in their properties too. Oak trees are home to many birds and squirrels. Our home backs up to a heavily wooded ravine that seasonally serves as a creek and is home to deer and rac...

Great location, safe neighborhood

Other than the occasional airplane or train, the neighborhood is quiet. Neighbors are friendly and keep a watch over each other's homes, but are not too nosey. The location is one of the most central in the city, close to everything. Houses are older, but well kept. Most yards are clean cut and ...

Quiet Street in a wonderful neighborhood close to high rated schools. Best thing about living here is the caring neighbors.
Amazingly peacefull area on one of SA's buissiest roads!

The neighborhood is quiet, and although it tends toward older couples, there are many new families living in the area. Bandera Rd. leads strait to Loop 410 AND Loop 1604, both of which are the main arteries for San Antonio, which makes it one of the busiest streets in the city (if not the most!). ...

1 person have found this review helpful.
0 people found this review not helpful.

Quiet, '70s gem, close to tons of shopping and food

Town Creek Street, or as the sign says Towncreek Drive, is a hidden spot in the middle of everything but as quiet and peaceful as can be. Our street ends with a cul-de-sac and is accessed from a dead-end street, making it as peaceful and traffic free as is possible. During my few years here, no one ...

1 person have found this review helpful.
0 people found this review not helpful.
