Moving to Rhode Island, looking for quiet neighborhood w/high walking scores?

Single female, 40's...In a perfect world : Older, victorian style apartment..safety number one concern and walking score # 2 priority..thanks! Looking at the Providence or Warwick area but actually open to any suggestion, I can actually live anywhere in the state but would like to be close to water...$700 or less per month, can be a studio size up to 3 BR.
