Rapid Raccoons Seen at Central Park

Has anyone been to Central Park lately? If not, there are many raccoons showing up there. The problem is that many of them are rabid. So what the Department of Health is doing is vaccinating all the local raccoons to stop the spread of the disease.

So if you happen to see a raccoon in Central Park, I wouldn't touch it if I were you. It may have rabies.

According to the DOH, the rapid raccoons were seen at the northern portions of Central park than anywhere else.

Oh dear! Good to keep an eye out for, especially for those of us with pets. Thanks for the heads up, hhusted!
