Rally at Times Square Tomorrow

In case anyone is a Jets fan, the city is holding a rally tomorrow afternoon at Times Square for New York Jets fans to get the players pumped up for Sunday's American Football Conference title game.

Based on information provided, the city will host a pep rally at 5:30pm in Times Square. Mayor Bloomberg will be there along with many of the Jets players and past Jets players. The actual place for the rally will be between 44th and 45th St on Broadway.

Wow! I'm not a sports fan at all, but I love the idea of a NYC pep rally - I'd support anything NYC related at a pep rally, to be honest! Is this a new thing, or has it happened before?

For the Jets, it is new because they rarely get into the playoffs. This year it is uncommon. I am even surprised they made it as far as they did.

It seems to me the city did it for the Jets only. I never saw a pep rally for the Yankees when they went into the World Series. Maybe they only did it this one time.
