Popping Noises in Apartment Buildings
I don't know about the rest of you, but I hear a lot of popping noises in the pipes in the building I live in. I asked the super what that was and he said it was the water bubbling and the bubbles bursting within the pipes. He also said there are valves located in certain pipes that control and regulate water and water pressure. He told me those valves get old and need replacing. The problem with that is many of those valves are inside walls.
So, what can be done about it. I guess not much since tearing walls down amounts to a very high repair bill for the owner, which he claims he is not prepared to deal with, since the popping noise only happens occasionally.
Do you hear popping noises and if so, do they drive you crazy?
