People Walking Against the Light at Intersections

I was driving a Zipcar recently and was driving across town to the West Side. When I got to 7th Ave., I noticed people just casually walking across the street, even thought traffic was going across the intersection and heading right for them. The driver would blow his/her horn, but the pedestiran gave the driver a dirty look as if to say, "I have the right to be here because I own this crossing. Don't even attempt to beat me."

I don't know about you, but I can't stand it when people act that way. I told my friend that one day, those people are going to have an attitude, and they will walk across with a chip on their shoulders. Then a car is going to come really fast and run them over.

Have you had any experiences like that?
