Parking Regulations

NYC has provided a way for you to know what the parking regulations are for any street in the city. By having this feature available, you can plot ahead of time what you need to know regarding parking your car. This way, if there are any regulations for the street you are going to, you can choose to park it there anyway or you can place your car in a garage close by.

To learn about this feature an to start using it, just go to http://a841-dotvweb01.nyc.gov/ParkingRegs/ViewController/LocationValidation.aspx.

I think the good thing about having a lot of snow is the city cancels alternate street parking until the snow is cleaned up. I remember about 4 years ago, when I had a car, that it snows and I did not have to move my car for a week. That was nice.

Although I can see the benefits of not having to move your car for a week (assuming that you never have to use it), I disagree with you about the street cleaning, at least when it comes to my neighborhood. I live off of Broadway in Bushwick and somehow there is always a lot of garbage rolling down the street like tumbleweed, so I greatly appreciate the street being cleaned four days a week. I really missed the street cleaners when it snowed last week.

On the flip side of that, I hate dealing with snow. Catch 22.

I feel your pain. You want the trash to be picked up, and when it doesn't you have a mess. When it snows, doesn't that at least stop the trash from moving? When the road gets covered, everything in the street gets covered to, right?
