NYC in Financial Trouble

According to NY1, Michael Bloomberg went to Albany Monday to try and convince Albany to not cut state aid as they are thinking to. According to the report, if Albany cuts the aid they are expecting to (the amount is $1.3 billion) this would result in the city losing 19,000 city employees. This includes 8,500 teachers, 3,100 police officers, and over 1,000 firefighters.

Let's hope David Patterson is a smart man and does not go through with his budget cuts that he is considering.
