No Pants in Subway

On Sunday, thousands of people took off their pants in various sections of the city, Queens, and Brooklyn. The goal was to make people laugh or at least put a smile on their faces. The group Improv Everywhere was responsible for the event.

Did you see the event on the news. Some people looked rather stupid without pants. How could they do that. Weren't some of them freezing. Wow.

Gosh.. its like the annual Polar Bear Swim at Coney Island on New Years Day-http://www.polarbearclub.org/ I cant help wondering how the people who take part in the swim manage to do so without dying of hypothermia.

You are right uptowngirl. I truly wonder how they do it. Are they on drugs or alcohol so they can't feel it. I don't really get it. I went to take the trash out a couple of nights ago with no coat. All I had on was a teeshirt and sweat pants with slippers. The temp was in the low '20s. I was freezing. I dumped the trash in the containers and ran inside as fast as I could move.

Improv Everywhere seems to be making an annual event out of the no-pants-on-the-subway ordeal. You'd think that by now (after it was featured on This American Life and numerous on other news programs) no one would be too shocked anymore.

A friend of mine invited me to participate, but I declined for many reasons - the cold weather being one of them. Afterward he said it was fun (but that the cold was a bit overrated).

Yeah, right. Any time cold weather is a part of something, you can leave me out of it. Cold weather and me just don't match.
