Get a Piece of Bronx History
Does anyone know Edgar Allan Poe. He lived at the Fordham Cottage from 1846 until his death in 1849. The actual cottage was in Poe Park on the Grand Concourse. It is the only house left from the old villege. The cottage does have tour hours.

Currently the place is undergoing restoration so it is temporarily closed. You can still explore what the Poe Cottage Museum Store sold.
The Bronx County Historical Society is handling all of the store's products until the cottage restoration has been completed.

I read Poe's work in college and found his work to be well written and dark. He was a genius of the written word.
