Evicted Holocaust Survivor Gets to Return to Her Apartment

In case you were not aware of it, 92-year-old Holocaust survivor, Eta Eckstein, who was wrongfully evicted from her Bensonhurst apartment, Wednesday reached an agreement with her notorious landlord, which allows her to move back into her home.

You can read the entire story here:

I think the above story is a sad fact that a number of apartment building owners do the wrong things with their apartments. I'll bet they buy the properties for investment purposes, while not knowing anything about taking care of them.

I think people like the above, should not even be allowed to buy properties for investment purposes. Any time a slumlord like Pillar, goes after loans to buy property, should not be allowed to. The bank should do a better job investigating the person to see if he is really worthy to purchase such property.

Hey folks, this may not seem to be that interesting of a story, but the premise here is that she was wrongfully evicted, which can happen to anyone. Know your rights legally as tenants so the same thing doesn't happen to you.

Yowch! Her being a Holocaust survivor just adds to the unsavory quality of the whole affair.

@Yes. It is a sad fact that some slumlord has to be in control, right. What a creep to begin with. People should gang up on the guy and force him out of town.
