Chelsea Piers Sports & Entertainment Complex

Has anyone been to Chelsea Piers and gotten involved in any sport or some kind of entertainment there? From what I read about it, Chelsea Piers has a 28-acre waterfront sports village that has something for everyone.

There is golf, tennis, or you can go to the sports center and work out. If you rather, you can go to the large rooms they have and host a wedding, corporate event, or other kind of huge party. They even have a bowling alley and skating rink .

If you haven't been there yet, check it out. Go to 62 Chelsa Piers 23rd Street & Hudson River Park.

If you want to know what events are being held at any time, just call 212-336-6800 or go to www.chelseapiers.com.

I overheard someone say that Tiger Woods was coming to NYC. While here he planned to go to Chelsea piers to take advantage of the golfing range. Anyone hear of this? I bypassed it at first. But if anyone else hear about it, then I'll know it isn't just a rumor.

The only recent news that I have had about Tiger Woods is about his numerous flings not a squeak about him coming to NYC to try his hand at the driving range at Chelsea Piers!

Oh, okay. Perhaps it must have been a practical joke being played by some media guy. I didn't read about it on the Internet. I heard someone say it in a restaurant recently. So that is why I asked.

Chelsea Piers is good fun - has some nice event rooms popular for high school proms and things, and the rock climbing, etc., lessons aren't too expensive! ($20 or so) But Asphalt Green is another alternative! I personally prefer it, but that could just be neighborhood sentimentality.
