According to NY1, two real estate giants are handing Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village over to creditors. They site a slow and steady financial fall for the reason.

Good point. Any time you can get a hold of information about your area is good. By keeping up with your neighborhood, you will be able to know what is going on at any given time. This helps you stay alert and prepared.

I can't tell, from all the dealings by the big realtors, if this is actually a good thing for Stuy Town residents or not.

I can't say the current owners were doing the best job, to be fair...maybe this is a blessing in disguise
