Not sure if I can come up with 10 - but here are a few things I would recommend:

1. Paradise Lounge - nice R&B and cheap drinks
2. Ray's Lounge - local pub with darts and good specials
3. Jackson Park - lagoon, golf course
4. Blackstone Bicycle Works - wonderful bike shop
5. Harold's Chicken
6. Ma King's Soul Food - home style cooking at it's best
7. Bessie Coleman Branch Library - named after the first African American aviatrix
