Are there homes near winding way, soledad, ca? Are they available for rent?

Hey Joan. I looked up the location on Padmapper.com (I've never actually stopped off in Soledad but I have been to Salinas a couple of times) and I couldn't find any places for rent by the prison. But if you head down to Soledad proper you can find some big homes for rent. The best deal was a 3-bedroom for $1200. (If you could find a couple of roommates that would be a great deal.) You might also try Salinas, it is probably even more reasonable there.

Try sites like Padmapper and Craigslist--they are usually the best bets for rents. Good luck!
