Where is a place to live for a young professional that likes nature?

I'm an engineer in my early thirties moving to Wichita from Tacoma in Washington state. I've been living on the sound and near a huge park and was loving it. I'm relocating fora job but have only been to Wichita once (for an interview). Can someone please help me know where to start looking for a new home? I've read College Hill is nice. The realtor is pushing toward NE and NW Wichita pretty hard. I have no idea; please, help!
