Also visit Mulino's Italian of 99 Court Street (ironic name!). This is the traditional romantic dining experience.

White Plains has many great restaurants. Romantic is a mindset, and if you are with the one you love any restaurant will be romantic. Some of my favorites Mulino's on Court Street, Morton's Steak House, Tri Angeline's on Mamaroneck Avenue, Sam's of Gedney Way.

If you would like to take a scenic drive about 40 minutes north of White Plains you cannot beat The Terrace Club Restaurant set on Lake Mahopac. The food is delicious. The prices are reasonable. The ambiance is stunning. There is outdoor dining in the warmer months. You'll want to go hungry and save room for dessert! I highly recommend the Strawberry Shortcake. Slices are generously sized so ask for 2 forks!

Scalini Osteria in Bronxville on the corner of Pondfield Road and Valley Place is extremely romantic, especially in the spring and summer when you can sit outdoor patio...you'll think you stepped into a Tuscan village for a bite! They have a rich Italian menu that changes frequently so once you fall in love with the atmosphere you don't have to worry about getting bored with the food. The owner, Angelo, and staff are always wonderful too.

I love Mulinos (Italian) right here in White Plains. It's quiet and romantic, tradition interior in styling with a lovely view of an exterior garden with fountain. If you are looking for trendy, this may not be the place for you but service and food and atmosphere is wonderful.
Also love Red Hat (French) in Irvington. Great views of the Hudson River, wonderful food and service. In warm weather you can eat on the terrace or have drinks on the roof top. Have a wonderful evening.

Try Moonshadows in Malibu. It is situated on the ocean. The food is great but kind of pricey. On some days you can see dolphins outside the restaurant window. Or even celebrities such as Britney Spears and Sting.

I like Harvest on Hudson located in Hastings on Hudson across the railroad tracks from the train station. The restaurant has a roaring fire in the winter. In the summer, you can sit outside or inside, and gaze at the Hudson River, and enjoy drinks and appetizers or a meal. If you enjoy watching boats sail along while holding hands with that someone special, this is a great place to go.

If your significant other is a chocolate lover, enjoy a fine dining atmosphere at the Melting Pot at 30 Mamaroneck Ave, a restaurant famous for its fondue and romantic ambiance, perfect for any special occasion. It has wi-fi, holds events both day and night, and is also just minutes away from the closest train station.

Peter Pratts in Croton Heights, which is part of Yorktown. In the summer, dining on the porch can not be beat, not on Wednesday if you want romantic because that is family barbeque night any other evening. In the winter downstairs by the fire is perfect. The food is exceptional and it has a real cozy, warm atmosphere.

Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich's Tarrylodge in Portchester! The food is fabulous! Let them know it is your anniversary and request a romantic spot. The atmosphere is very lively so if your idea of romance is quiet perhaps you save this one for a birthday. However, depending on what day of the week you go, this could be romantic. Sure is delicious! Goat cheese with pistachios and truffle honey a favorite. Consistently great Italian food and superior wine list. Tell Paul I said hi!

Blue Hill at Stone Barns is an extraordinary dining experience. It is all farm to table -- with menus that change with what's "in season". There are several tasting menus -- but it would be a totally unique and wonderful evening!!!! Enjoy!

La Panatiere in Rye offers a very special atmosphere and delicious food, clearly feels like an extra special occasion..but one of our favorite spots The Rye Grille proved to be a delightful spot to celebrate our anniversary last week after all with a later reservation after the crowds and a table in front of the fireplace...really fun and in walking distance to home!

In Dobbs Ferry, I love to go to Half Moon. It's right on the water and has one of the best views: you can see south to NYC and north to the Tappan Zee Bridge. The food is good, too.

I love Gina Lee's in Redondo Beach. The food and the service is fabulous. The restaurant is dimly lit and the place is not too loud so you can actually have a conversation. Try the pistachio crustated Mahi-Mahi. Or another fabulous and very romantic spot is Orange Tree Hill in Orange. The views are simply stunning.
