Has anyone been to the Butterfly Pavilion?

Is it still a great place to take children? If I remember correctly they used to have a tarantula you could hold, is that still there?

It's a wonderful place for family education and entertainment. My family from out of state loves to go when they come visit!

I went there with our youngest sons class a couple of years ago. I found it interesting with lots of interactive displays for the kids to enjoy. There is a lot to see and it offers good educational opportunities. The main attraction is a chance to hold Rosie the tarantula.

I love the Butterfly Pavilion and yes it is a great place for kids and adults! They actually have few new displays and activities you can do like their interactive Tropical Odyssey. I’m pretty sure they still do the tarantula thing but they also display a few other animals that kids can touch as well. In addition they seasonal events like Living Lights, Rainforest Yoga, and special days were it only cost $5 to go! Did you know you can also have your birthday or a wedding there? Well you can, and what I hear is they do a great job decorating the place all festive-like for large private events. Definitely one of the best places in Westminster!
