The Westminster Hills Park and Off-Leash Dog Park located on 105th Avenue and Simms is a great place to hike, especially if you have a pooch with you! The park extends really far and offers great views of the Rockies once you get over the hill. Only down side to this park is that the entrance is a little smelly because that’s where a lot of the dogs like to “go.” Also there are a bunch of great trail systems around City Park that extend out to the western side of Westminster. I believe they even go all the way past Front Range Community College.

The Big Dry Creek Trail is great for walking. I run on this trail a few times per week. It starts at Standley Lake and heads northeast along Big Dry Creek. Highly recommended.

I really like the area around Standley Lake Park. Lots of scenery, wildlife and if you'll lucky you will even see some eagles.
